Why BJ Dichter is not a true freedom fighter.
He is pro censorship instead of actually putting thought in fair arguments.
I posted a comment to an article by BJ Dichter’s about bitcoin (not sure how I got subscribed to it, but thought it was worth commenting), it was a well articulated comment about why I think bitcoin is complete garbage, and how using che gevaras looking icon is a red flag (because he was evil, a murderer, and a dictator—great things for a freedom fighter to use as an icon).
BJ deleted my comments. He is not interested in defending his views intellectually and is more interested in censoring other peoples views. I do not trust the guy, never did.
Basically my arguments are the following:
1) Bitcoin is open source, and open source is notoriously full of agency code and vulnerabilities. See “CVE-2021-3156 sudo Vulnerability Allows Root Privileges”. The separated code commits that looks fine on their own, however, together caused a crazy vulnerability that existed on 99% of the worlds operating systems for 10 YEARS! These agencies have the money to figure out how to do this. Don’t you think they would have that kind of stuff in bitcoin, and probably many other cryptos?
2) The #1 thing that makes money a money, is that 1 unit is equal to every other unit. Bitcoin lacks this because it keeps a history. This means a government can (and probably will) control bitcoin by having your coins go through a registration account yearly in order to allow you to spend or store in another business (and maybe to collect a tax from it). This would be easy to see if all the coins have those special accounts in its history, and there would be no reason these crypto exchanges wouldn’t add this type of scan. And if you accidentally mix your coins with unregistered, just re-register them. This allows the government to know and control the crypto, and why it isn’t money.
If you agree with me, please post the 2 top points on the following article.
